Was that you there around 4:30 asking about how to tell if a bag has "gone bad"?

Yep BlitzK that was me. I was asking FAOIS if there was a certain "life" of a bag where the filter value degrades after "X" months or if when the bag is visually fuzzy is it filtering less then new bags?

What's the life span of a filter sock?

I've had some for a while now. Only on one the plastic ring broke and the stitching came out after 8 mos. As of now I just wait until they fall apart.

well what was the answer?

If I remember it correctly "if it ain't broke don't fix it" Jk...

I wasn't really clear on the answer other then consensus was they work best for about 6 months. There is some loss of filtration value when the bags start showing signs of aging. I think she said they replace theirs every 6mo's.
