Hi

I have a mature 100g reef which currently houses 9 fish.
-bonded pair of leopard wrasse
-watchman goby
-Picasso clowns
-bonded pair of flamback Angels
-yellow tang
-bi colour blenny

I am struggling to think of the other fish I will be putting in. I have room for about 5 other fish. I run a very large protein skimmer so waste is not an issue .
I will be placing a juvenile powder blue tang in the future (I know I have a yellow tang but don't worry I will be removing it for a combined quarantine so they become mates :) )

I was thinking cardinals but I would like to hear your opinions.

Thanks :)

I don't see any planktivorous fish, so how about a school of anthias or chromis? Or if you don't like schooling fish, what about a Meiacanthus sp. blenny or a flasher/fairy wrasse? Pretty outgoing fish from what I hear.

I'm a tang police, and that's not going to work. Putting the powder blue and a yellow tang in a QT isn't going to work and will probably end the yellows life.

Other than that, I'd say another wrasse. Fairy or flasher, I'd look into the Cirrahbulus sp.

Check out the Golden Midas Blenny. Great fish and it has quickly become my favorite fish. Many others that own them agree.

+1

Firstly, I just don't like anthias so don't want those. Also I will be getting a baby powder blue and the first step to reduce aggression is to segregate the tang so that tgey can see each other. Through Perspex. Then remove Perspex, then into the display they go. If it doesn't work and they fight I can separate them early. This is far from reckless

I don't recommend no Powder Blue in that size tank!!! you will have problems on your hands. PB are one of the most aggressive Tangs in the fish aquarium. Good Luck!!!

Firstly, think about that tone. You ask for suggestions, and we give them to you, no need to be rude about it. Additionally, Powder Blue tangs do get quite big and quite active. Do you plan on allowing the fish to smell each other as well? I don't know anything about tangs, other than my dad keeps insisting on one for my 55(as if I'd ever allow that). So fine, no anthias, what about the other fish we suggested?

Sorry, I did not intend to off brash, in terms of te PB I am rigid in my selection and will be taking every precaution to ensure that they are best buds :) again definatly not trying to be rude. I think the real question is any suggestions instead on the Benggai?

Thanks again :)

I have looked into getting a large flock of dart fish but I thtink that they hang to close to the rocks where my menace of a blenny lives

Actual, dartfish will swim out in the water column, if there is a group of them. A single dartfish will more than likely hang out in the rocks or by the rocks.

Meiacanthus blennies are fascinating IMHO, I would have one right now, but I have feather worms and a damsel, and I like my feather worms. I had one eat a feather duster and use it's tube as a hiding place; smart little fish.

Wow such interesting behavior but unfortunately my blenny is so territorial to the point where it nearly killed my bonded pair of angels! A mid water swimmer is probably the best option. by dartfish does this include purple? If i got 5-10 would they do that?

Thanks :)
