I'm sure that having all that counter space is going to be wonderful. Keep the progress rollin'. Light color stain, or dark?

Great looking room. It's gonna make taking care of that tank easy and fun.

is that a stripper pole in last pic?

It is the sump line but could double as a stripper pole.

Do you have a backflow check valve on the sump output Drunes ?

I do just not in view.

They are prone for failure. Siphon break and or keeping return lines high up is best. Have seen 3 fail that were no more than 1-2 years old so I wouldnt trust it to hold back water in case of a power outage or when pumps are turned off. Some you can take apart and clean but still a big risk imo.

** Unless you are refering to the house plumbing then I have no idea as I was refering to tank plumbing !!

Exactly ;) It's for his house sump pump.

The pump will constantly run if there is no water to drain in the sump but the little water that is left in the pipe will trigger it on, when it gets pushed away from the float the pump will stop, but then gravity will bring it back down and then turn it back on. Endless cycle unless you keep the water in the pipe seperate from the trigger.

It is the house sump. =D

Set up not to allow any back flow, well at least not enough to trigger the sump again. High water low water triggers.

Though now you mention it if I ever build a house maybe I will have them build in floor sealed sumps for the aquarium.
