Finally bought Tunze 9010

I looked around for few months looking many posts named skimmer and finally plunged in, bought 9010 from MD. it is here today.

I went for it because of its foot print and assuming it is effecient enought for my 6 month old 90G reef setup. I will figure it out in few weeks whether I did the right thing or not.

Looking for advices from the current owners on what are the tricks and trades and undocumented fidlings I have to do to get the skimmer do its best.

Well, all the excitement is for nothing. the skimmer cup is broken. Now instead of focusing on running it this weekend I have to work with the customer service at MD to send it back and get a new one.

Didn't expect this to happen!.

Roger, Thanks for the offer.

I have already spoke to MD, I will be getting a replacement skimmer delivered tomorrow.

On the hindsight that was the right thing I did, as later when I checked, the pump's neck was broken aswell(the place where the airline tubing gets connected).
