I couldn't get rid of the Cyano in my tank and it killed about 8 SPS's, So I treated once with the red slime remover and presto. I treated with a little less than the reccomended dose and it worked.

Glad to not have to battle that stuff any longer. hopefully its clear sailing from here on out.

looking forward to seeing everyone tomorrow.

Happy Easter

Any idea how it started growing? Usually you will see it if you have high nutrients and low flow. I know you have good flow so it may be a nutrient issue. Hope everything is going good now. Just M2C.

High nutrient is right, nothing is better than a good skimmer to take care of the red slime in the long run, but for short term, the slime remover will help.

Chris, Good to hear that your tank is doing good. How is the house hunting going ?

after some discussion, I believe when I started running phosphate sponge 4 months ago. The sponge was taking too many nutrients out and the Algae in the Fuge started dieing releasing nutrients into the system.

As Tom mentioned a better skimmer in the long run. I just upgraded to a AquaC ESV 180. I had space constaints and it had a small foot print and fits.
