I have been looking to upgrade my Nanocube since I have outgrown it. I Still like the selfcontained units, although some of the forums were negative, and I know Matt sold his and gave his feedback.
Thought I give it a shot after reading more about the improvements they made.
I got it for CHristmas, put in the order at Aquatic Critters and was told it would get here in a month. Haha
it was back ordered, then I was told all white units were recalled due to color quality issues. Long story short, after back and forth about the deposit etc, Ken at AQ got word they are shipping it again from Israel. They were very good at keeping me updated on the progress, even the salesmanager at Red Sea called me and apologized for the long delay and threw in some extra Red Sea supplies and promised to dropship it to my house.
So I got it , excited like a 4 year old on Christmas, but still trying to do the right thing, I leaktested it ,(first time I did this on any aquarium) andl low and behold , the thing leaks!
I was going to thread about it that night, I am glad I did not because I was an unhappy camper.
Called the rep at RSM, who texted me that they were sending me a new tank, which arrived yesterday. I am happy again..
More about it later,I will post some pics

Sorry to hear the tank leaked, but glad you got another one. Those are nice tanks, and so many mods that can be done to them.

Awesome! New tanks are always so exciting! It is like a clean blank slate to start with and so many possibilities.
Nice to see such great customer service as well.

Looking very forward to the pics!

Thanks !
Yes Dave, I started out telling myself I am not modding anything since everything is supposedly integrated.... Well, I guess we all caught thedisease of uncontrollable moddingitis.
I am already thinking of adding pumps and bigger skimmers and chillers and ATOs..How about a strip of those blue LEDs at the Swap we all talked about? Too bad we don't have more birthdays in a year.
DaveDzones, I think starting completely from scratch is easier than transferring from another tank, don't you think?
Brent, I am afraid you will outgrow your 28 pretty fast!

Lol I don't plan on outgrowing it until I get out of college and another house this home is to little I had no room with the 150 but the 65 was ok. I ended up buying the jbj unibody led lights and done added another strip of white and a strip of blue LEDs from current USA the truelumen that take the big transformer it will hold 6 of the 12 inch strips so for right now I've got plenty LEDs. Talking about mods I ordered from InTank the aquaticlife skimmer, the refugium basket and the trickle filter basket that operates the same as a sump. Along with the uv sterilizer from oceanic.

This is a view of my nanocube that has to be moved. Not perfect but mature tank. I will try to get rid of all the caulerpa before putting it in my RSM

techdiver, help!
I just kicked the (photo)bucket, it is so cumbersome to me
can I text you the pictures? until I grow up

Thanks Dave.
Most have started as 1-2" frags. even my clam has grown significantly
Hope they will do OK in a new environment

Yeah, and only one yellowtail damsel I bought to checkout the Nano in 2009.
I will use him again to check my RSM.
I never feed him, and he keeps getting bigger.
He picked my maroon clown to death so I did not buy anymore fish. Hopefully he has more territory soon

20+ frags of which I know for sure 6 have been devoured, thank god i only paid 5 bucks a pop for those haha

Congrats on the new tank. Did you say you got it in the white finish? I really would like to see a pic of that. If you have any questions on modding, just ask. And I agree totally, that Red Sea is a supper nice company to deal with. They always treated me excellent.
