Finally she was nice

My female clown finally let her male counterpart in the RBTA with her. She started letting him in throughout the day Saturday and now lets him stay in day and night.

BTW I am still seeing signs of impending spawning with no eggs as of yet. I am keeping my fingers crossed and hope that it is soon :)

The female appears to be heavy with eggs and is not very interested in eating right now (not the first time, she usually reabsorbs them). She also appears to have grown a good 1/4 inch just in the last week alone!

Thank you very much.

Comments are welcome from those with experience pairing clowns and breeding them.

Can I consider them a true pair yet? Or does that come with the first batch of eggs?

Yeah if shes accepted the male in the anemone then they are a pair. as far as clownfish breeding. read the faq on here for more info.. but id check around the rock under the anemone or near for the eggs.

I have researched my hind end off on clownfish breeding and feel that I am fully prepared for it when it does happen. I also check the tank every morning and night for eggs. They have yet to spawn.
