Finding Mated Pair of Clownfish

I was just wondering if anyone has any idea where I can get an already mated pair of true or false percula clownfish.

i'm not going to be much help...but I know most of the time, your best luck on something like that is to find a private person that has them and is looking to sell. Most vendors aren't going to sell mated pairs but every once in a blue moon IME.

Well, I bought some at Petco (I know, I know) awile back (more than a year and a half ago) and they are now a mated pair. The key is to buy one that is considerably larger than the other. It will become the female, and the other will be the male. It tool them about a year or so, but they eventually started laying eggs.

You committed the ultimate sin. Actually, I've bought fish from them too. Oops!

But i would have to agree. I bought two small clowns over a year ago...one slightly larger than the other (that's the key). Now they host in a BTA and the one is WAY larger than the other. So i'm just waiting for them to lay eggs at this point. Hopefully they do eventually. But that's the way many people do it.

I live a little west of Omaha but might have to sell my mated pair of true percs. I am going to be moving but don't know where yet and we just sold our house:eek2: . I am only going to sell them if I have to but it is a possibility. I might have to get rid of some coral also.
