Fine bubbles comming from my pump

Okay, I was finally able to quiet my tank a bit thanks to the advice of my fellow reef goers! Thank you. Now I am having another problem. I have fine misty like bubbles coming from my pump into my tank. I have been told that there must be air getting in somewhere but I have checked and rechecked and have found no leaks. Is this normal when a tank is newly set up? or does anyone know what the problem could be?

Thanks again in advance

Do you have some baffles in your sump to allow bubbles to reach the water surface prior to reaching the return pump? If so, then I wouldn't worry about it too much for the first few weeks. A layer of biomaterial will build up on the interior of your pipes, which may cause them to just go away in time.

I too have dealt with micro bubbles as I'm sure most of us have. In my 155G FO tank I had that problem for almost 4 months then one day it went away without me doing much at all. I just set upa new reef and it has a case of the micros with a oceanic sump, filter socks, baffles and everythign. I get down on the floor and look directly where the pumps are returning the water and see no bubbles yet the tank has micro bubbles....not real bad but bad enough!! Drives me crazy..tank is only 7 weeks old though..
