Finished cycling

I've just finished cycling my 70 g tank with raw shrimp, & I'm thinking to add some API quick start live nitrifying bacteria to help with the future health of the aquarium... is it going to help by any mean? or it's just waste of material?

There are many on both sides of that fence. I'm one that believes it's not necessary and I start all of my tanks cycling with pure ammonia.

If your tank is fully cycled, then you don't need additional bacteria.
If you need additional bacteria, then your tank is not fully cycled.
Add your livestock slowly and your tank will be fine without the additives.
