Finnex Tanks

First post on this site. I'm returning to the hobby after about 7 years layoff. Still have large systems stored. I'm cramped for space and considering a small 20 gal or so setup. I was looking at nanocubes and ran across a 20 gal Finnex with built in refugium. Any feedback on this tank would be helpful.

i'd consider them to be the mercedes of nano tanks.....excellent build quality, beautiful to look at, etc....but also a bit on the pricey side

you have to ask yourself....are you a mercedes person or a toyota camry (biocube, jbj, etc) person???

me personally, i love my biocube. but then again, i didn't like the open-top nano i had as much as my biocube

check out www.nanotuners.com for some of the best DIY mods for pretty much all of the nano tanks out there. they also sell built systems in pretty much any configuration you can think of for what you want to keep....only determined by the size of you wallet LOL

Thanks, checked them out. Right now I'm leaning towards the finnex or cadlights tanks. Any input on owners of these is appreciated.

i had a cadlights12....good tank. i didn't have the cadlights light fixture though so can't speak to it's quality. i had a coralife 150w metal halide fixture (no longer made, but similar to a viper)

Had both and you'd be happy anyway you go. Not a fan of the new Cad fixtures, but I cant say the same over the finnex. Anything below SPS would keep just fine. Hope this helps?

I have a Finnex 30G.

I looked at all the Finnex tanks and I picked the 30 because its glass. #1 rule of small tanks..get glass not acrylic...unless you want a scratched up mess very soon. With small tanks due to the limited room to manuver inside, it gonna get scratched.

Anyway... I am very happy with my Finnex.
