Fire Angel from Exotic Tropicals

Or you can make a temporary holding tank to put inside your tank to put a fish until things are just right. I had to make one when I introduced another GSM into my tank and had a serious brawl on my hands. I had to keep him in there for three weeks before my situation was ok.

I love the shop scott has helped me with 2or3 things i push is shop no a loot of popple all the time.

Huh? Popple?

Spellcheck FTW!

Haha, just messing with ya'!

Yeah, next time try the lights out method of introducing. Also, you can try to move your rock around a bit. Can be a pain in the butt, but it has worked for me on fish that are aggresive because of an established territory.

I bought the container at Walmart in the fish department and drilled about 400 holes in it. It cracks real easy and ended up having the best luck drilling 1/8 inch holes first and then a 1/4 inch through the 1/8 inch.

You can also buy a breeder cage from a petstore for about $6. The one I have has slits in the sides for water flow to pass through, and also floats on the surface of the water.

Freshbrew, I didn't see it mentioned anywhere, but how did you acclimate the fish? Many times when a new fish shows those signs after being healthy at the LFS, it's due to improper acclimation. I always recommend the drip method...it takes time, but ensures a healthy fish.

another stupid question, how do you attach it to the inside of the tank?
It did want to float so I stuck a piece of live rock on it. I don't see any problem with letting it float if there is nothing it can bang into.

I did try the drip method, but perhaps I did it too fast. I am still learning and am not sure how long I should take to aclimate. I took about 20 minutes with the drip. Is that long enough?
