Firefish and Melanarus

Hey guys the wrasse recently joined my tank and he's a model citizen, doesn't bother anybody... the firefish however is spooked by him.

The firefish came first and was always out during the day. He hung w/ two angels and clowns (angels now gone). However, since the wrasse came he would be in the cave all day... he'll come out to eat but if he spots the wrasse he darts back in.

I think it's the wrasse for sure because at night after the wrasse is in the sand and I feed the tank the firefish will come out and stay out all night.

Will the firefish get used to the wrasse after a few months w/ time? Or is this going to be behavior from now on? Thanks for any input.

It should get used to the wrasse over time.

Same here...firefish is still hiding a bit but much better now...firefish are just timid anyways

Firefish are just skiddish at first in general. They will adapt,

Mine did that with almost all the new additions. The last time is when I got my CBB. At first he wouldn't come out at all for a month, then he would come out for feeding, and now is out all the time. It was a few months to when he felt comfortable enough to stay out all the time.
