So today when feeding my fire fish which are halfway through 14 day copper treatment as precaution before going to DT my red firefish only ate one mysis or two which were garlic soaked. I noticed his moth wasn't closing. It looked like there was something in his mouth. I took him out and operated and pulled a piece of it from his moth but I began to realize it wasn't something in his mouth it was his actual mouth and lips. Luckily now he is opening and closing his mouth but I want to do what is best for him. Will this get better with time ? Is there a treatment? What causes it? The purple firefish is fine and eating well.
Is this some type of mouth rot?
