Firefish Suddenly Aggressive!?

Hey guys, i have a question about my firefish. I've had 3 firefish, 3 peppermint shrimps, 10-15 dwarf hermits & a small yellow striped maroon clown & rbta living in my 36 bow for a few months now peacefully. My tank has quite a bit of liverock & plenty of hiding spaces. A few days ago i noticed that one of the firefish was missing most of his top fin, my guess was a shrimp or crab. That day he became very aggressive towards the other firefish, chasing them around and back into their cave. It has been about 3 days now & i have noticed another firefish has the same injury as the angry one. Anyways, he still chases them and wont let them come out. He doesnt care for the clown or anyone else, just them. Any ideas? Im lost...

Thats how firefish are unless you get a bonded pair you will be down to one or zero eventually

yep, I had 2 firefish before, both got along great for about a month and then one turned on the other, found him on the floor one afternoon before I could get him
