I get a "error transmitting data" when I try to install the firmware. Can you describe the correct procedure (i.e., firmware or ProfiluxControl software installed first, etc.).

Please also explain what changes have been made to ver. 3.0.5 over 3.0.3. I don't want to reset all of my settings unless I am missing important functionality.

Thanks,

If you upload all your sensor data and settings data to your pc before F/ware upgrade you will not lose anything.

This feature is found under file at top left of control panel

new in 3.04:
- support of automatic IPs (with DHCP-server)
- supports Oxygen-card
- new operation modes level control

new in 3.05:
- programming of digital powerbars and dosing units with ProfiLuxControl 3.0.5.0 possible

Please refer to the newest manual (see link above)

Regarding firmware update
I guess you did not follow the instructions in all details:
FIRST confirm YES on the ProfiLux, AFTER THAT click OK

Hint:
Save all your settings and sensor data (see menu "File") before update.

Thanks for this information. I'm up and running with the dimmable ballasts, and installed the update. By the way, for the next update, Calibration is mispelled Calipration.

Mattias - my apologies! Seems I sent you on a witch hunt. I just looked and realized that the mispelled word is actually 'Propability' and it is located in the Simulation module. I must have been under the influence :)

My unit has been working fine for 6 months, but yesterday my HID light stuck on. I've determined that one socket on the 4-plug analog power strip has stopped functioning. Have you heard of this happening?
