first clam goner

I think I just lost my first clam. I've had the clam about a month, it's about 2 1/2". The clam attached itself to a piece of rock by the second day. Last night I noticed its insihon was wide open and it has sifted on the rock. I move the rock and the clam fell off the rock. This morning I noticed my crew of Narris. snails climbing all over the clam. I think its a goner It currently still in the tank, with (2)250W MH. Should I remove it before it dies.

Probably, have you a refugium or someplace quiet you can put it? What kind of clam was it? Don't forget to check for parasites on the shell too.

I would put that clam in a quarantine tank if you have one. If clams die, they will leave you with an aweful mess!
