First Clam

I have bought a Tridacna Crocea. I have a 58g that's about 21" deep. I have two 250w metal Halides. I'm thinking about placing him on the bottom, which is a gravel substrate. Will this be a good location? Will there be enough light there for him?

he should be fine but if he starts to lose some color just move him up closer to the light.

Don't they attach themselves to the rockwork? Won't that make it hard to move?

Also, if I place it on my rockwork should I use an adhesive? If I just leave it there I have other critters that will move it befor it attaches itself

dont use an adhesive to stick a clam to your rock work, it will attach when its ready and thinks its in a good spot
