Hi all, and thanks in advance for any help you can offer. 3 weeks ago we received that pick 9 for $99 from IPSF(great deal IMHO) and anyways, one of our choices was anthelia polyps. Had no idea how the coral would do in our tank. In the 3 weeks the coral has been in our tank it has grown 3 or 4 times it's original size. Also, the fingers or heads? pulse. From what I have read is xenia pulses, anthelia does not. Is that right? Anyways, it is so kool, and so far it seems to like his new home. I can't take a picture of it but it is tan or biege in color, looks like a mini tree(main trunk with branches with pulsating fronds on ends of the branches). Is it anthelia or xenia? Steve

Sounds like Xenia to me.

i believe that anthelia grow from a mat..i dont recall seeing a branching anthelia......prolly xenia...either way if its growing well....thats a good sign...well....maybe not....anthelia and xenia can get out of control...trick...keep em away from your rocks....put em on the sand and put rubble all around them....as they grow on the rubble....you have frags to trade...
