This will be my first time QTing a fish in my 6+ years in the hobby. I've been lucky a lot but did get bad luck once!
So I have a melanurus in the QT from a lfs. I treated with prazi as a precaution and have been observing the wrasse ever since. He's doing well and eating much more aggressively than when I got him. It's been 3 weeks.
However, yesterday I noticed some white blotches on one of his side fins. It's not small like ich, and its not even raised. It's more like a blotch of white, flat and about 1/16" big. Not sure what this is, maybe an inflection?
The water quality in the QT is okay. It's 0 ammonia, but there is some nitrites and nitrates. I've been dosing prime and stability every day, and of course water changes.
I'm not sure if the white spot is an infection or just stress from the lower grade water quality. Other than the spots, he's very active. I've seen flashing only once in a while.
Should I let him in the DT soon, or should I treat with paraguard just to be safe?
