First Lightning Maroons Sold at Auction

SkullV

They Got My Number
I'm not around a whole lot anymore but I do keep up with the industry still. Anyone else watching the Lightning Maroon Clownfish auctions on eBay?

Not too shabby for some really physically imperfect fish, but obviously it's their genetics that count at this point. Over $16k for 2 of the F1 offspring that are showing lightning traits. The plain white stripe offspring are going for much less, but that was to be expected.

Hi Ted! I did see this auction mentioned when it was still around $5k. Too rich for my blood. But then again I like the $5 frags! lol

I was watching these too. Beautiful fish. I just hope they are bred responsibly. Maybe in 10 or 15 years I'll be able to get one or two:)

Sold at $10,520.00 and $6,100 looks like the same buyer won both. I wonder if they are getting Free Shipping....

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. I find them ugly. Wouldn't pay $50 for 'em (but would gladly sell them!)

Looks like someone in the big apple bought both of them. And from the article that Matt Pederson posted on fb, Todd Gardner will read the young if they spawn.

Looks like Pederson got another full hatch, a bunch of the fish are on their way to being paired up with each other, and one is being paired up with another F0 PNG Maroon. Future is looking good for the Lightning Maroon genetics.
