Good luck on your endeavors. An old reefer once told me" don't listen to everybody, listen to the guys in which you have seen their systems". I have shown you my to sumpless systems.
Feel free to p.m. me if you have any questions.

What works for one person may not work for you. I would do research and decide for your self not just listen to one person. There is no right or wrong only what works for you. Anyone who says otherwise is full of crap.

Can I see some pictures of some of your systems? Proof is in the pudding

LOL

There are thousands of pictures of systems that run sumps. Trying to act like a sump is a bad thing is a joke. Here a picture of a system running a sump

Funny, I would like to see your tank. I would like to see your Coral growth and your micro fauna, before I listen to you I. know some sumps are ideal, that was not the op question.

What ever it is clear that you think your way is the only way to run a fish tank. I wouldn't take advice from someone as closed minded as you. All you can do is talk crap about systems that are not the same as yours. You must worlds authority on reef tanks. Everyone should throw their sump away.

It's not worth it with SFish. Even if you bring evidence (like you've done) you'll be "wrong". Fantastic candidate for the ignore list

Let's see some pictures hot shot

Can you please show me where I talk crap about other systems? Or where I say my system is the only way? Love it.

Maybe you two could take the sump debate to its own thread? You're kind of hijacking the OP's thread here....just a suggestion. Not that I disagree with you Heath and your tanks look great. I am sumpless myself. But the OP might not want the thread full of debate about other people's set ups.

Anyway, just a suggestion like I said.

Quality tank ! What are you using for filtration in there ? I Didn't Think Sump's were vital just that people preferred using them over different systems.
Getting back on topic.
I also wanted to add that along with the hob skimmers on those two tanks, the only other means of filtration is by Carbon dosing.
