I have been looking around for my first ok quality camera, nothing fancy just something point and shoot for my reef tank and trips.

Really like the Nikon coolpix T100 alot and im looking to spend $250 so its right in there. I did look at the Canon Powershot SX100 too...

This camera for its price take good macro shots? adjustable focus?

Another big worry is my other hobby of scuba diving, id like to get a $350-$450 underwater camera housing, again nothing fancy just that will work for my application for shallow high light dives. Is there a housing made for the Nikon T100? I couldnt find one.

Thanks alot!

I would try to find a camera with a capability to shoot RAW. Also a camera with manual controls: Nikon- "A, S, P, M" Canon- "Av, Tv, P, M" ect.

I don't know much about the Nikon T100. I can't even find it on DPreview. I would look for the above in a reef tank camera. Unfortunately these extra (useful) features may drive up the price of a camera housing. If you don't care about blueish images (Raw) or using the best possible settings (manual control) then I would buy the camera around the highest quality housing you can find.

I found a used Canon G9 for $300 that I recently purchased. The camera shoots RAW and has full manual controls. Also, the Canon underwater case is only $180 and I hear great things about it. I bought this camera for my trip to Belize next month so I'm sure I'll be posting some stuff from snorkeling when I get back. Do a search on flick for "G9 underwater" and you'll see some great samples of that combo.
