First Phosphorus Test Reading

OK...so I got my Hanna Low Range Phosphorus checker yesterday and ran the first test and not good

Test returned 200ppb (maxed out) = 0.62 ppm

Is it possible for it to be this high or higher but tank looks to be doing well?

Fish, crabs, snails, starsare all lively.

All corals open up except my leather toadstool that only half of it fullyextends.

That level is high for stony corals, but soft corals won't care, although their color might change. What's in the system?

I'm not sure what a tooth coral is, but the hammer is the only other coral on the list that I'd be worried about.

Learning to use a hanna ulr is tough at first, heres how i simplify the process fill both cuvets with your tank water then mix the regeant in only one cuvet! Dont shake micro bubbles will alter reading! After all regeant has dissolved then follow instructions as usual except your not limited to 3 minutes to mix! I repeat the test 3 times using those same two cuvets! "That seems high but is very possible, or could be testing error!" Do you use gfo? Goodluck!

Just to make sure I understand.

1 cuvet to zero out tester and the other for actual reading?

Run test 3 times (3 regeants) without cleaning out cuvets?

Not running GFO. Wanted to test first.

No, do not use 2 different cuvettes. Use the same one. Using two cuvettes will introduce error into your reading. To be even more accurate, use the same exact side of your cuvette each time. I always have the 10ml label facing the same direction.

Yes one cuvet to zero out hanna!
Run test three times same reagent, to be sure there are no errors!
i have done it with same cuvet and add regeant to the cuvet i zero with and results were still within the +/-4% or whatever it is within each other! The second and third test will usually be a tad bit lower then the first, probably due to debris settling!
