will i need to removed the other dwarfs angel in my display?
What other dwarfs do you have in your tank presently?

reefkoi - the price you pay for piece of ocean :D

Saldarya - i guess a nip here and there should be ok

jnarowe - yeah all fishes have their sense of humor, just look at his teeth. even with 600gal i am not trying to fill my entire display with fishes, trying to keep biolad down just enough to keep all my corals alive and maintaing good water quality

REEFKEEPA - sorry but i didn't attend Jesuit, but my shop is not that far from there. some good and bad experience with LFS so most livestock are ordered through various wholesaler i deal with

Goodwin9 - here the fish list for main, more fish in QT, Fuge and Frag

from Oct since restarted:
1 5" Powder Blue Tang from 3.5"
1 3.5" Orange Shoulder Tang from 1.5"
1 2.5" Yellow Tang from 1.5"
1 5" Desjardini Sailfin Tang from 2.5"
1 5" Pink Margin Wrasse from 3"
1 5" Blue Jaw Trigger-Female and Male from 3.5"
1 4" Imperator Angelfish Juv from 3"
1 3" Lemonpeel Angelfish from 2.5"
1 3" Cleaner Wrasse from 1.5"
4 3" Lyretail Anthias (Female) from 2"
1 3.5" Lyretail Anthias (Male) from 2.5"
5 2.5" Six-Line Wrasse from 2"
1 3" Coris Wrasse Yellow from 2"
1 1.5" Green Mandarin Goby not much just fat
1 6" Magnificent Foxface from 3.5"

Do you have a cover on your tank?

May sound like a stupid question, but wrasses are good at carpet surfing, speaking from experience unfortunately.

Those fish will get big and unless you plan to keep only SPS corals you could have a problem with the Imperator and the lemonpeels are one of the worst angels for a reef most other dwarfs would be a much better bet.

Maybe take those two out and replace them with a different dwarf.

Also the Clarion would be risky in a reef but who can say they have one?... They are much like passer angels which I haven't seen many in reefs but I know those are very aggressive when larger which the clarion may turn out to be later also I don't know.

Good luck.

beautiful fish you are considering there bart... if its worth the risk give him a shot, as long as your willing to fish him back out you may as well give him a shot.

As far as input on angels.. I have a Majestic and a Flame in my tank and neither bother any of the corals at all, at least not yet. The Flame is about 3" long and the Majestic is about 8". Best of luck man

Wow, everything looks great so far Bart. That's a beautiful angel. Like thirschmann said, it's always worth a risk if you are able to trap it later.

OMG! You are my hero. What a setup. Words cannot describe my emotions. . .I think I might cry. . .

Seriously, man that is one impressive setup.

thank you guys, not much has been going on with the system. just sitting back for few months watching things grows before additional corals and livestocks will be added. so far lemonpeel and imperator angels has been behaving but how long is the questions :D? should the sohal, purple and dussumier tangs be enter last into display since these guys are really aggressive, they are currently in my 2ng fuge display? sometimes the sohal mess with the dussumier when feeding time comes around so extra seaweed clips are placed in two different spots, but still doesn't matter .

Bart, there is so much to be learned from your setup. I tried to read through all the pages, but my eyes fell out of my head.

Now that they are back in, can you or someone who has read it, explain the continuous water change tank?

I am changing my sump setup and would like to add a water change tank so that I can change 25 gallons of water without lowering the display volume.

Thanks for sharing!

tbone im always around :D. i have 7" sohal, 4" purple and 5" dussumier in my 2nd fuge display. no matter how much i feed them the dussumier always get pimp. been in there since Oct.
