First successfull macro shots

I haven't had much luck until today..
I finally got the tripod out.

This was with a Pentax K100D
Pentax 40-80 F2.8 Macro lens set to F22
ISO 200
exposure time 4 seconds

Those are good. A little too much DOF though, IMO. You want the background to blur a litttle so that your subject stands out more. F12-16, maybe?

Thanks for the tip.. I'll try another round at F8 and F16
