Pretty darn good for a first attempt. Now try adding more depth of field. i.e. increasing the f stop for more focus.

looks pretty good for first time. look at others macro pics and learn from it, that's what I did. I'm a newb myself....
some people just take better photos than others. I've seen some macro tank pics of people that I know whose been doing it for a while, and it doesn't even look as good as yours.

Great first attempts. I agree with Jack Skellington (kokaneejr) that more depth of field would be positive for the images. I notice you are using a faster shutterspeed than you need to with stationary corals. Ideally you could put the camera on a tripod and slow the shutterspeed down which would allow you to increase your fstop number and thus depth of field. Or you could lower your ISO in response to slowing your shutter. Or a bit of both.

Than k you guys,

How can i increase depth of field? On this pics i was set ISQ for 1600, is to fast?
Got my tripod yestarday!...:)

How can i increase depth of field?[/B]
1. Decrease the aperture (f/16 has more depth of field than f/2.8)
2. Increase the distance from the focus point (10 feet away has more distance than 5 feet)
3. Decrease the focal length (10mm has more depth of field than 100mm)

High ISOs are great when you need them. Better visual quality (less noise) can be had a lower ISOs. I try to shoot at 100 if possible. If it's not, I go higher. I start getting uncomfortable with possible noise around 1250-1600 but my camera has very low noise to start with.
