first try at pictures

Tank is still very new, so nothing too exciting. Pardon the microbubbles, my skimmer went a little crazy on me!

These were shot in manual mode on a Canon PowerShot SX110. If someone knows how to get this camera to focus in manual mode when zoomed in, please let me know. The manual focus works great when I am zoomed out, as soon as I zoom in (even to the back of the tank) I can't get a focus.

JMO: the size of your pix is fine.

If you want to resize/crop pix yourself use irfanview to do so before uploading to Photobucket.

FWIW I never use zoom on my Canon Powershot.
On manual mode choose the largest file size the camera will allow and crop it.
Use macro mode to focus on closeup subjects.

I also suggest letting the camera evaluate your white balance other than that the pics look fine.

where are the micro-bubbles from?? If they are from your sump you may want to incorporate a filter sock....

The sock was overflowing (needed it's every other day cleaning. The fission skimmer I'm using pushes out a ton of microbubbles, even with the foam trap. The filter sock fends them off, but needs it's cleaning!

Hi Jay thanks for the freebie offer!! I too dont know if the name "red sea elongata is" is correct but this guy I got some from, 6 years ago-he since moved, called them that. the main stalk grows very tall, and the pulsing polyps are redish and grows long from the stalk.
