Fish 2000 store update

Just an FYI to all, I was browsing local fish stores and decided to check out Fish 2000 and come to find out there under new management. The new owners just took over a few days ago and the place is a mess. They are still open for buisness ( water and supplies ) but will be doing alot of work to redo the place. They estimate 1 1/2 months before doing a grand opening and will be changing the name to Fish 2000 and Beyond.

Happy fishing

thanks for the update sorry to hear about the new ownership but hopefully they can do good things with the store

i dont like the new name though

I'm glad they are going to do something. The store was just looking sad. I felt bad for the daughter and tried to do some business there but they never had what I wanted and never called back for the special orders.

Hopefully the new owners will be cool. It is going to be hard to compete with the good fish store 1/2 mile south.

I agree, Frank was a great guy. But the store was GOING DOWN hill Fast. It would be nice if the new owner runs specials and has GOOD prices. Time will tell.

WHAT fish store 1/2 mile south??????
I need to buy some bulkheads this week, do they have them????
When to Jeff's in Costa Mesa this weekend, nice stock, but NO fittings. I was Pis+*#- Off.

Thanks

Jeff's in Orange has some plumbing parts. Pacific Reef in Anaheim and Fountain Valley usually have a decent selection of parts. Or there's always will call at Marine Depot.

The store close to Fish 2000 is Window to the Sea. I haven't been in yet, but Len was at the last Reef-A-Palooza and he was a nice down to earth guy.

Thanks for the help. This Window of the Sea place I need to find. A lot closer to work and on the way to home. If not, Jeff's in Orange on thursday i guess??

Thanks Again

Trying to resurrect fish 2000 is a huge undertaking, after so many years of neglect! I wish the new owners the best of luck!

Hopefully the new owners will get some cool corals and fish in stock. The store really does need an overhaul after all these years.

I refuse to go to Windows to the Sea anymore because the only interesting things they get in stock they won't sell and only sell common corals and brown corals. The owner also tries to sell me whatever fish he has in stock, like a grouper for my 40 gallon tank when I want a small goby or wrasse. "When it gets too big bring it back" yea....

Well Fish 2000 is having contractors come in and redo the place. Dont expect miracles for awhile, but the new owners seem really nice and I am sure, after talking with them, they will be doing alot to bring in new customers. They talked to me about some of there ideas for the shop and they sound really good. Only time will tell.
