Lacy,

If you still have a large piece of the ORA Hawkins, I'll be happy to trade you for the clam that I'm selling. Let me know. A nice Red Planet will also do the trick.

Lacy, I purchased a frag of your ORA hawkins at the frag meet...I dipped it in a mixture of revive, and acclimated it.... the next day it turned completely white. Did I do something wrong? All my other corals are fine. Is the hawkins a sensative coral? Should I attempt this again? My ph is 7.8-8.0 Alk 10 and calcium 480. My salinity was slightly low at 33ppt I found out. Thanks for your advice with this

Sorry it took me a while to respond. Busy with the Holidays. I sold all the frags at the swap. I see that you sold it which is good.

Sorry to hear that. Echinatas can be very sensative to dips. I have read that sometimes they bleach and sometimes they don't. I have also lost some to dipping. Unfortunately I sold all the frags and I only now have a small frag for myself since I sold the main colony.

Echinata is very sensitive to Iodine and to a lesser extent all of the dips. All of the thin skinned corals seem to be that way.
