Fish eating zoa "frills"

I've got two suspected fish that may be doing some Zoa munching, the never seem to mess with the Zoas while a person is present.

Kleini Butterfly
&
Kole Tang

Any tips or tricks on how to prevent my Zoas from being munched on? They are only eating the frills off the zoas, not the entire polyp.

Sadly once a fish gets a taste, it's virtually impossible to curtail the eating of coral. No amount of diet modification or feeding increase will stop it. Being that Kole tangs are generally very reef safe, and butterfly fish are one of the more "with-caution" to straight up "not reef safe" fish in the hobby, the culprit is obvious

My guess is it's the butterfly, but once it starts snacking either the fish or the zoas have to go.

Any updates on this? I'm not saying that a fish can't munch the frills off the polyps but first thing that comes to mind is zoa eating nudis. They eat the frills off fairly neatly. Have you checked the tank after the lights go out?
I have a Kole tang in the frag tank and has never bothered any zoas, no experience with a butterfly sorry
