so lets plan on october 14th @ 1ish......what ever michael dosent throw in i'll go to the asian market and grab some odds and ends. As we get closer....pm me for directions.
:)

No worries guys.

Linda's place is fine. I've got a couple of monti frags for her anyway and I wouldn't mind taking a look at her tanks before the 'Big' meet.

Besides, I hear Tom is possibly gonna be doing a bit of BBQ!!!

So.....if everyone is still willing to head down to Linda's, thats fine with me.

I still like Oct 14 at 1 pm - but even thats negotiable! :)

Now Miss Linda, you know I can't resist your adorable charm! ;)

:fish1:

Based on michaelg's recipe of ingredients, we still need the following:

mussels
frozen oysters from oriental market
Squid- again usually from an oriental market
spirulina powder
golden pearls- 3 sizes
Fish eggs (the orange kind used for sushi)

michaelg, can you still supply...(if so, let me know when to pick up)
frozen oysters from oriental market
spirulina powder
golden pearls- 3 sizes

All we would need....
mussels
Squid- again usually from an oriental market
Fish eggs (the orange kind used for sushi

So, if anyone wants to contribute, post here. We still have approx. two weeks. Also, we could use an legitimate recipe with quantities (or abouts) shown. Be nice to see that posted here as well.

As we get closer.....we can double check that we have everything. Ill pick-up

Squid- again usually from an oriental market
Fish eggs (the orange kind used for sushi)

Was able to do a bit of searching this morning and found a few recipe links. I'm sure its not "rocket science", but it would be nice to have an idea of amounts required. Links aren't necessarily the best, but they may help get an idea.

Check out the ReefCast Video ! Give it time to load.

this seems like a good staring point....can add more stuff if we want to. Also in one of the lins they used eggcrate to make little cubes. That idea I like also.

The cheap ice-cube trays you can get at the dollar store work well also. Use styrafoam egg-cartons also. the cardboard. paper ones tend to stick the ice cube a bit and make it harder to get them out of the form unless you semi ment them.

One suggestion- I don't use a food processor. I tried it once, and it leaked right over the sides with the liquid in there. Very messy. With some prechopping, a blender has always worked well for me. Perhaps one of you has a better food processor than I did at the time, but for me a blender is a safe way to go (and I have one that I don't use for human foods/beverages), which is a real big plus.

I am all set, Linda is still hosting :D RIIIIIGGGHHHTT Linda? When I get back from my trip I'll go over the list and we can make sure we have enuff stuff

michaelg....you still in on this? If so, when can I pick up the items you said you'd contribute?

yes Mr. Allard, I am happy to have you guys over. Plan on eating lunch here if that is ok.

I will provided mussels and icecube trays for the fish food.

Have you decided if it's the 14th or 15th? 15th works for us (Robin may come to it). Is there an updated need list?

I just reread post after Brian mentioned it.....he must have missed the post that mentioned that it was going to be on the 14th.....would love to be there, but Saturday's are soccer days (at least for two more weeks) and don't get finished until 2.
