So I'm trying to figure out which fish keeps beating up my other fish I watch my tank but never see any fish going after each other the only conclusion i can come to is it is happening at night time. here is a list of all my fish anyone have any ideas who might be the culprit? my diamond goby seems to have the most damage.

these are my fish i put new next the the fish that i have just got which i dont think could have done this.
-Blonde Naso tang
-flame angle
-Bangaii cardinal
-2 firefish gobys
-cleaner wrasse
-diamond goby
-leopard wrasse
-2 snowflake clowns
-yellow headed jawfish -new
-starry blenny
-sailfin tank -new

Describe the damage. Don't really see much in that list for potential nightime aggression. Maybe a disease is in play. Hope not.

I'm blaming the flame!

My guess holds no relevance though because I don't really have anything to base my judgement on. I was expecting to see a pseudochromis in that list. Spawn of Satan.

How long has the tank been set up? It could be a hitchhiker crab that you've never seen. I've helped remove pest crabs from tanks (mine included) that avoided detection for months.

got rid of the hippo tang so that might resolve the problem but i havent heard any clicking noise. ill have to just keep an eye on it. hopefully it gets better

I was thinking mantis shrimp. The hippo will usually rest at night.

Since the missing fin is mostly in the center, I'm guessing its being nipped at something level on the sand bed. Going with TMZ, and going to say possibly a mantis.

My mantis was a deal breaker. Floating fish was more probable. Doesn't take long. I can watch my tanks more than most.

i haven't seen any of those in my tank unless it hides al the time only shrimp i have are the cleaner and blood shrimp

Probably not a mantis then. It would have probably killed the other shrimp.
