Fish growth

goto liveaquaria and look up the fish u are wanting to find info on and it will tell u what size tank it should be kept in. LA is a very reputable site and most of their fish information is right on.

I tend to not refer to Live Aquaria. Most of their recommendations/info is great, but when it comes to tank size, I always find information tht contradicts them. Vastly in fact. Whenever I read up on a species of fish, I always try to find threads in forums made by keepers themselves, especially one with pictures and based on the ones with detailed info only, I find some fish are kept in tank sizes much larger than what is written on LA, whilst others in much smaller tank sizes, and the account of their experiences feels much more reliable to me.

It's better to ask on forums such a here imo, and keepers of such fish can offer opinions based on their hands-on experience.

I just went to LA to look at the fish. Is the tank size for the fish when they are full size?

Live aquaria is VERY conservative on a lot of their minimum tank sizes, which is fine and a great route to take. I tend to like to read different info from different places to get a good grasp on what a fish needs. To me a dwarf angle does not need a 90 gallon as some of the ones on LA say. I could be wrong but that's my opinion. So bottom line is read, read, read, and, find out what the fish is going to need.
