Fish ID (tang)

Picked up a tank set up today and it came with this fish . But i couldn't positively id it .
Any help?

acanthurus mata, gets huge ( 24 inches not joking ) just removed a 10 incher from my 210. Ive got pics of a 20 + inch one at my store

I have the exact tang in qt now...also known as blochii and ring tail tang...they do get huge so hope itz a big tank...looks nice though...

I'm fairly positive it is Acanthurus xanthopterus rather than "mata". Either way it grows to a Monster - 24" plus w/attitude.

While it is very hard to tell I think you may be right.

No signs of ich,its in my sump. Dirty glass, and thats after i wiped it down lol.

You're going to need a much bigger tank than the one you have now if you plan to keep that fish.

I don't think i will be keeping it in my 220g . it was in a 180, but it was take all or nothing deal. Maybe i will donate it to someone with a huge tank.

No that is my pic of the monster tang, who is in my store in edmonton. He is pushing 19 inches at the moment and 7 years old. Also put the dem of the tank wrong 10' X 36 ' X 24' = 460g another 300 in the sump.
