Hey I missed the last meeting. How was fish pros looking Better or still working on the place look

Fish pros

It's really a shame and I just don't get it. Tanks full of dead coral don't sell anything. Why stuff doesn't get thrown out I have no idea.

Even simple things like dry goods. Why not bring in stuff that people use, like salifert test kits, ati bulbs, some jabeo wavemakers? Decent carbon and gfo? I would buy from there to support them if they carried decent stuff.

To me, there's a problem when you have to bring someone from outside in to test the water and tell the employees what to do to their own ranks. To me the problem is squarely on the owners shoulders the employees there are nothing but nice an helpful, but I don't think they're put in a position to succeed for various reasons. Not that there isn't some blame on their part as well. The funniest/saddest thing is that nano tank on the counter right as you walk in that is a freaking aiptasia farm. I mean, come on! How hard is it and how much time does it take to go through with some aiptasia x, or whatever, and clean the damn thing up!!!

That's too bad. Didn't someone recently buy that business.? But your right dead corals and things don't help sell

I myself gave up, they had a kid in there (didn't get his name) that told me Tyler put him in charge of the corals after Jason left when he took over he turned everything around, obviously he knew what he was doing cause for the time that he was there things were looking up as far as livestock goes and everything was looking healthy and thriving. Ever since he disappeared everything went down south, there's so much going wrong in that place that I'm surprised that they've been in business, they never have anything you really need, they can't and wont fulfill any special orders and they can't get you what they tell you they'll get for you. I've heard the same thing from other people.

Sad...

I went to visit them about a week ago. I saw this and just shook my head then left.

Fish is just resting, right? :)

Every time I see a dead/dying fish in any store I point it out to the staff. I've noticed diseased/sick fish in both of our LFSs, so there is really no perfect store in our area.

I don't know what their internal problems are and why it's so hard for them to correct the problems. There doesn't seem like there is enough staff to deal with a store that size. Many times when I go in there is only one person working.

On the positive side, the staff are all friendly and willing to work with me on special orders. I know they are trying to make it better.

Yes, the staff is friendly. The store is large. Maybe too large. Personally, I'd prefer fewer better kept tanks than walls of what it is now.

Last time I was in I didn't even bother looking at the live stock. Just picked up some frozen food. And had to find someone to ring me up.

Fish pros management should read this thread. They'd get a sense of how much business they are missing.

If I was an owner or partner, this is exactly the kind of feedback I would want.

I am a former employee at fish pro and I did bring this to the managers attention. He is thankful for the feed back and understands the business that is being lost as we are trying to bring things up to par. We appreciate the feedback and we will try to implement the changes stated.
