Aw the shipping is $20 and the discount is $20 for 2 DC12000 pumps.
How did you get 3 DC12000 and 4 RW15 for $300?

No experience, but from what I've read they put out substantially more flow than anything else on the market, including Vortech's.

How long they last, given poor Chinese work ethic, will remain to be seen. So far (8 months) my WP's have held up well, but I clean them every 2 months. After about 2 months the flow is substantially reduced. For the RW's I suspect continued frequent servicing will be the key for longevity as well.

They are wireless in terms of controllability, but being that they'll be hooked to my Apex, I would suspect I'll lose that feature.

Cuzza has a 300 gallon system.

I'll say that 2 rw-8 will work for you.
If you're going for a rw-15 then 1 might suffice.
I my opinion 2 smaller ones distribute the flow a little bit better than just one.
I had a 90 with 2 rw-8 at 75%

BTW The RW are easier to service! :)

Well ill have at least one other normal power head for extra flow.... everyone says they decrease on power in time so I was thinking about going with the 15 and running it low until it loses power and then ramp it up.

Thanks for your input!

I don't have the 300 yet. I'm just acquiring all the equipment now before I order the tank. I have 2 WP25's on my 90 which are equivalent to the RW8. I can't run them at 100% without hammering my LPS.

If it were me, I would run 2 RW15's or 3 RW8's on a 5' tank. I think it's wise to buy them larger and dial them back in the beginning and then increase flow as your corals, especially SPS, grow into large colonies acting like umbrellas.

I received RW-15 today and i think its good flow even for my 7 feet tank. Got it for $97 (free shipping) from aliexpress.com
