I am looking for a fish around 8'' in length (give or take an inch or so), that is reef safe or at least has the potential to be(such as pygmy angels), is not a tang, and is not likely to wreck havoc in a peaceful community. Genicanthus angels are nice, but I would prefer to keep them in a pair and I am looking for a single fish. The fish should also be from the Indo Pacific.
I am just looking to fill a spot in my stocking list with something other than another tang. I already want the 2 spotted bristeltooth tang and a Copperbanded butterfly. I have considered a purple tang, but fear it's aggression, I have also considered a powderbrown tang, or a yellow tang, but I am worried that in a 150gallon, there won't be enough algae tot keep them happy. I think I am still thinking the powderbrown is the best fit for minimal chance of aggression. I will be feeding nori and sea veggies, so I could keep the 2 tangs, if that ends up being the best solution. I have also considered the bluejaw or crosshatch trigger, but I feel they are an awful lot of bioload and would be cramped and out of proportion in a 6' 150g.
Thanks for your input in advance.
