Fish suggestions for 29g

Currently have 29g w/20g fuge/skimmer with some LPS, zoanthids, mushrooms. Only current fish is royal gramma. Want to add around 2-3 fish. Would like fish that will be somewhat active and not hiding or burrowing all the time (and not six line wrasse or clown).

I like the flasher wrasses (esp carpenters, mccoskers, filamented). Not sure how a pair would do in 29g or if gramma would pick on them.

I love shrimp gobies paired with pistol shrimp. My absolute favorite are Yashia gobies paired with Randall's pistol shrimp. It is a pricey combo, but definitely an enjoyable one.

I had an oscellaris clown for approx 2 years. Recently traded him to a friend. He got so territorial he would attack my hand multiple times when it would go anywhere in the tank. Also, my royal gramma wouldn't come out of the rocks. Since the clown is gone he is out all the time. Just wanted to try something different.

That combo of a shrimp and goby is a good idea, but they will fall into the hiding/burrowing most of the time category.

Some other good choices would be a firefish, bicolor or other blenny, pygmy angelfish (some may nip at corals but mine didn't), chromis, cardinalfish.

Here a good thread about choosing fish for small tanks:

I thought chromis would be better in like 5+ school. Would they do ok as a pair? I also like the bangai cardinals but they don't seem to swim much. Firefish may be a good choice.

If you are looking for entertainment on your fish i would suggest getting some clown gobies, or any other small gobies that are generally considered perchers. They will sit there grumpy on your rocks all day and it is pretty nice to have a few in there and since most dont get over an in or 2 they will not kill your bio load. firefish are nice but chances are if you have a fish that is in the least aggresive they will spend most of their time hidden. any of the flasher wrasses should do well also, but most of your small critters will be eaten by the wrasses, ex. copepods and such.

A Sixline wrasse would be good. And I really like my Pygmy Angel but you have to be careful with coral.
