Fish that are bullies

I have 2 Clowns and a Flame Angel in QT. I have a divider in the tank as the larger of the Clowns seems to attack the FA. I was going to put them in the DT this weekend and saw the divider slipped. The FA tails look like crap now, tail is all chewed up. I know there is no way of stopping the battles. I think I'll put the Clowns in the DT and leave the FA in QT until it's fins grow back.

At least in the DT the FA swims throughout the rockwork and has places to get away from the clowns.

Any other bully horror stories?

Maroon Clownfish. I think thats all I can say. Tried to attack my Sea Urchin, hates my corals, and doesn't like how my rocks are stacked. Oh did I mention hermit crabs are like bowling balls to her?

meanest fish i've ever kept was a sohal tang, that fish could keep angels 3x his size away from the seaweed, it got so bad i had to put him in with the triggers of whom he also dominated but could not keep from eating. i've had the same problem with clowns & flame angels, same color i guess, i would think the best way to go is introduce flame angel first, but no guarantees because most clowns (damsel family) become aggressive.

Do not put Flame Angels in with Corals.. i read on another forums from different people that the FA destroyed some of their corals. And my Clarki Clowns did not like were I had put the Hammer Coral and they kept pushing it out of their way.

Have had numerouse fish that were aggressive to new fish but 6 line wrasse killed 6 or 7 newbies before I could get him out some 4 times bigger than him never a six line wrasse again

Maroon Clownfish for me. Meanest little thing that I have ever seen. I used to have a damsel that my 4 year old named stupid because he was beating up all of the fish. Had to get rid of him. Now the Clown has taken his place. lol

I have the same problem, I bought a small flame angel a few weeks ago and introduced it into my tank. Everything went well acclimating it and everyone seem to get along. The next morning I found my flame angel really beat up and my female clown attacking my poor flame. I rushed to get the flame out and into quarantine. Unfortunately the flame only made it one day in qt before passing.

I just put in a chromis yesterday and the same clown is chasing it around the tank but the chromis is faster and has not gotten any damage yet. Looks like i might be taking out the problem clown soon.

Yeah...my petco clown is really mean too. It's only her and the little male...she will come at my hand or slice and dice ninja style any coral that gets in her way.... My whole tank 60 gal...and only two fishes....it's crazy....

:headwalls:

My maroon clown is horrible too!!! MOves corals and rocks around, knocks over things, lunges and bites me. . . I keep a tank just for him now, clown only with live rock. He has been in captivity for 12 years. His name is Hemo. Or his nickname is 'grumpy clown'. No longer lives in my main display tank.

I had a tomato clown that was a bully. I would shy away from them. Marrons, cinnamons, tomatos and, to some extent, clarkiis can be pretty nasty. My clarkii aren't bad, but they're borderline.
