Fish Trap tips and tricks

So I need to get a flame angel out of my tank. After 35 minutes of standing there holding a glass plate up and not one single fish trying to get inside to get the food has made me a bit irritated to say the least.

Anyone have any tips or tricks to offer on actually getting fish to go inside of a trap?

you may have to leave in the tank open for a day or two untill they become accustomed to it, keep putting food in it then when you see them going after the food you got em!

Thanks Michael, kind of what I thought. I have no real good spot to put it. I had a tall frag rack I set it on but will not stay in place. May have to put a liverock on top of it or something.
