I like my aqua medic fish trap. Glass door makes for a quick drop. I leave it in there and feed through it for a few days. When I went to catch my cherub yesterday I ended up nabbing the cherub, starry Benny, cardinal and yellow tang. Works great.

Wrasse are usually super ballsy and easy to nab in a trap.

I've only DIY traps. The plastic bottle method works for smaller fish, I was able to catch a bicolor dotty back with it, but my wrasse never ventured into it.

My 2nd trap for larger fish is basically my acclimation box for new fish. It's the plastic critter cages they sell at pet stores. I stuck a large suction cup to it so I can hang it on the glass. I tied a string to the door on the top and use it to close the door once the fish I want to catch enters it.

Wrasse are inquisitive and active, but pretty smart too. My wrasse examined the acclimation box many times, but I would say entered it less than 10% of the times the other fish did...

Have to you tied the mirror method? At least until everyone settles down and is used to living together?

Good luck!!!
