Fish trap..

Anyone have one that I can borrow?

I'll trade you a frag or 2, My new addition a mc closkys wrasse, decided to jump in my overflow.

Due to the nature of my top it is difficult to get into the overflow, so I am hoping someone has a trap that I can use to get him out.

Sooner or later he may jump into the main tank again, but I would rather try to trap him.

Thanks

Frank

konadog....i heard this method before and i still dont get it...if you drain the water out to even 1" of water left...the fish would still hid among the rocks...am i missing something?

I'm tagging along because I too am trying to catch some fish.

Yes, his fish is in the overflow!

I don't think you will find a fish trap that will fit in the overflow unless I'm missing something.

gooliver, the easiest thing for you is to get a fish trap. They work great but take patients to use.

thanks......i missed that part...the fish im trying to catch are in the tank.
is there a specific trap u think would work best?

???

For me, the link goes to the Ultralife Fish Trap - 4 inch x 9 inch model.

Same known marinedepot bug - refresh the page.

(All external links go to either the last page visited, or the last item you put in your cart, I'm not sure which, but it's wrong - just reload the page, and you'll see the right item).

I found a way to make one out of a small plastic water bottle.... Just insert it into the overflow, I already tried it.. fish was interested but cyclopeez leaket out...

I tried flushing the fish out of the overflow, but damn water pressure makes it hard to get the tube out of the bulkhead...

And lets say I screw up the bulkhead... that would be a plumbing nightmare!!!

Gonna try the homemade trap thing for a while... You take a small water bottle cut the top off .. reverse it.. zip tie it... put some food in it and go.... Use a small piec of wire to hold it

Ozone reactor? So you bleach the fish out?

i got the ultralife fish trap and caught the royal gramma 5 minutes ago...3 more fish to go :)

the original design of the trap sucks because when it's in the water, the closing door doesnt have enought weight to close and it tilts..so i tied a small LR rubble to the top of the door..and now it shuts quickly
