Fish wont eat

Hey guys I have a foxface rabbit fish that wont eat. You can see his ribs if you look hard, and hes not looking too hot. Hes barely swimming and he will sit still on the bottom for a few minutes, He also bumps into things. Id have to assume hes starving. Any ideas on how to get him eating and or what to do? Its one of those fish emergency nights!!

Ummm, if the fish isn't eating, garlic extract in the food will have NO benefit! Adding it to the water has no formal research behind it, so is only a "feel good" thing to do.

Sorry, but the bumping into things indicates that the fish is either moribund (dying) or is blind. Either way, the prognosis is not good. As much as I'd like to give you an easy three word answer, there isn't one.

Here is a link to an article I wrote about anorexia in fishes:

Sorry to hear that. One additional thought - does the tank have any other fish in it? My worry here would be since we didn't determine what happened to the foxface, the same thing could happen to other fish in the tank. I guess just watch them for similar symptoms.
