FishCare function in standstill

On the tunze site the 6200 stream has "FishCare function in standstill" listed on it. In addition it says "in addition, they have been provided with a fish care function in case of motor standstill" for the 6000,6100, and 6200.

What is this? I don't recall anything like this on my 6100, am I missing something?

When you activate the foodtimer or are in Interval mode any pump with the driver 7240.27 will turn 1 rotation every 20 seconds to scare fish away from entering the pump.

Great idea. I run my pumps so they just pulse rather than alternate because of this fear. I'd rather they alternate.

I take it not all the streams have 7240.27? How would I find out if mine does? (I am almost postive it doesn't but hey, worth checking to see if I'm just dumb :P)

It says on the bottom where the cabels plug in. White label- 7240.27, older ones with blue label 7240.26. 7240.27 replaced 7240.26 in June 2004.

You can change the drivers but honestly, at $92 a pop versus $240 for the new multicontroller which has a program which idles one pump while pulsing the other, I would say the multicontroller is the better buy if it is a concern for you to have such a function. Also, we haven't forgotten having a screen cover, we just haven't had the time.

A screen cover would solve the problem. Honestly, I don't think its a big enough deal to spend that much cash on it. Hopefully the screen covers will be reasonable, until then I'll just pulse them rather than alternate them.

They are in route. They have been held in customs since Thur. I hope they will come Tuesday. They should ship more to me on Monday as well.
