Fishy's back with a rimless A.G.E.

You got it Mike!

Current FTS. I really need to clean the back glass, colors have more pop.

Well my tank has been skimmerless for six weeks now. PO4 is @ .20 but to my surprise the corals look decent. I hope to have the new pump for my B.K. early next week. For now here is a new shot of the reef.

Great looking tank! What happened to your skimmer? I'm pretty impressed with the way your corals are holding up to the higher PO4.

Ptr and fish thanks!

The motor block on the red dragon locked up. Proline is shipping me a new one, just a long process. 20% weekly water changes has helped but with 15 Anthias and four big fish I'm still feeding twice a day.

Clint, I wish you would have told me your skimmer was offline. I have the Deltec skimmer I used when I had this tank sitting in my garage - it's yours if you want it! I can even give you the Eheim feed pump I used for it.

Hey Clint,
Sorry to hear about the skimmer pump. That really sucks and is one thing I dread. Glad to hear a new one is on the way.

Your tank looks great and the growth is amazing since I saw the last pics.

How do you find you Tunze wave box? Do you get plenty of water movement with it located in the corner?... just thinking how one would go in my tank.

Thanks bro!

Yeah man it sucks big time! I thought Bubble Kings were the best of the best? Might go back to Deltec after this.

Thanks! It'd look even better if my PO4 wasn't .22 :eek1:

The wave box rocks, hands down. If you were to mount it like mine (facing forward) you would have bare spot in the opposite corner. You might try the nano wave box though, it should work.

Thanks bro!

Fishy,
I just found this thread and am blown away. Great work. It's funny Sunday while waiting on a table at pappadeaux I was showing my wife "reef in the sky". She loved the clean rimless look. So was thinking I'd need to find somewhere around Austin that can make a rimless with those dimensions, this thread answered that question.
I do have a couple follow up questions. You mentioned the powermodule being too strong and having to shorten the photoperiod. Was that just for acclimating corals or for good? Was raising the fixture out of the question?
Also are you still running zeo? How's that going?

Thanks, and again. Awesome tank.

Lotus thanks!

The powermodule is a beast and care must be taken when introducing new corals. Once they are acclimated (shortened photo period and raised light)they do well .

I have not doesd any ZEOvit products for the last seven weeks (my Red Dragon pump quit working) but I hope to have the new pump in later this week and will resume the ZEO routine. There's a lot to learn with the ZEOvit system but overall it does a great job controling nutrients.

If you would like a quote on a tank like this one contact Kingfish Aquariums in Austin, talk to John and tell him Clint sent you down. Awesome guys to deal with and they have a great relationship with A.G.E.
