Flame angel with corals?

I'd love to get a small flame angel for my fish only tank, however, at some point I'd love to get into corals. I was told flame could work but hard to say, any corals would work better with flames than with others?

I think mine has taken some bites of my acans too, but only when I tried to cut back on feeding. As long as I heavily feed (always have nori clipped to the side of the tank) mine is fine with everything I have.

I know several people with flame angels in reef tanks (SPS,LPS, some softies) and none of them bother corals. Each individual fish is different, but the occasional pick at a coral isn't going to cause any problems

I have a flame in one of my tanks and he hasn't nipped at any if the corals yet... It's a hit or miss.

I feed very heavily, and ime flames are hit or miss. There are ways to make your reef tank more suited for angels, and the easiest thing to do is avoid high-risk corals like acans, brains, and zoas; and keep your other corals healthy.

Definitely hit or miss. I have one now that's a model citizen. But I had a pair in the past that had a taste for Sps.

I have one with lps, sps and softies and so far so good.

I really want to add a Regal angel but they are definitely more hit than miss when it comes to lps...

I have one in my 125 mixed reef. I have tons of LPS (brains, euphyllias, acans, chalices, duncans, scoly, blastos, etc) and have not seen it nip at any, nor any zoas/palys. However I have seen it nip at my SPS. No real damage so far besides lack of PE with certain SPS.

Thanks guys, this gives me some ideas but I guess any butterfly family fish would be no good? Or there will be exceptions too?

I currently have a Flame and Coral Beauty and the only problem was keeping an Elegance coral, but the button, brain and other fleshy corals are doing well, as are my clams

I think the Flame is best bet if you want a pygmy angel and corals though.
