Flame Angel with Fin Rot?

asonitez

Floodicus Maximus Flooris
So,
I purchased this flame angel about a week ago and have been slowly raising the copper levels in my tank to treat for ich.

The flame is handling the low doses well and currently none of the fish are exhibiting any forms of ich.

However, the flame angel came with what seemed like a white tip near the rear dorsal fin of the fish. It was white at first and I figured it was just damage.

Examining the fish today while it is eating well I'm noticing that the damage is much more extensive.

I believe it to be fin Rot. Can anyone help me identify this disease? At my disposal I have

Crypto Pro
Clout
KanaPro
PraziPro
Levisamole
Melafix

I'm thinking maybe I need to go and get something else. Incoming PICS In a second.

No heavy breathing or scratching.

Nitrates and Nitrites are very low levels hardly detectable.
Ammonia is Zero
Phosphates are detectable.

Filtration right now is a BioWheel Filter 1 box of Marine Pure Media Ceramic bio-balls.

Decoration is some fake plants, pvc pipe and the bio balls themselves.

Quarantine started with a 100% water change. Cooper has been dosed at the rate of 10 drops every 24 hrs. Currently at 40 drops and holding there.

No signs of ICH on any of the fish.

This is generally a sign of bacterial infection copper is also a immune system suppressant which makes matters worse I would get that fish out of the copper land get started on Kanaplex beings you have it on hand you can leave the other fish in cu and treat this one in a separate tank or it is possible to add Kanaplex with cu just make sure you have a air stone in the tank.

I agree you need to treat with antibiotics. Trifecta of kanaplex, metroplex and furan2 would be best. Also if you can get acriflavin a 60 min bath would help as well.
Also the condition of the Naso is alarming as well. Looks really skinny which could be either from poor diet, internal parasites or poor collection.

I would pull the copper and treat with the trifecta as lagatbezan has said. You are probably dealing with a gram negative infection here. I would also do an acriflavine bath now! Do not wait!

Yes Kanaplex is 100% kanamyacin if you trea with the trifecta do as Justinm has mentioned and pull the cu that will be to much at one time otherwise

I just threw in a bag of copper into the tank. I'll mix up some saltwater to do a water change. I'm guessing start with the kanamayacin?

After seeing the video the Nazi still looks bad to you?

It does look really thin. I would add vitamins like selcon, Zoe and vitachem to the food and keep an eye on. Any sign of white stringy poop?

You can start with anyone of the the meds but I would dose them at least an hr apart from each other and make sure the air stone is in the tank first
