so in other words, shouldnt be a hard fish to find lol
i've had mine for over a year now, super fat and very active. but for being one of the smaller fish in my tank, he if def. the bully. gives every new addition a hard time, regardless if it is bigger or not. the only fish he doesnt really mess with is my maroon clownfish pair.

he doesnt even look at them. doesnt bother any of my softies/zoas/palys either, my only problem with him is his attitude lol.
i've given thought to getting rid of him, but the more i think about it i just cant do it. he was my first fish other than my clowns. my new setup will be going up soon so that will hopefully calm his behind down.
as for going home grown vs. store bought you are right, but for the most part these are very hardy fish. as long as he eats at the store i think you would be more than fine with going with a store bought one

I think they run closer to $59-$69 at Elmers. They are generally cheaper there than Seahorse. Some stuff like purple tangs though, they charge crazy prices for. At that point I'd get them from Seahorse since they're not over $130 like at Elmers

WetPets has some nice mostly red ones in now. Pricier though...I believe $69-$79.
