Flame Angels Jump????

Yep, came home today and found him laying on the carpet , stiff as a board.

I have this theory that almost all fish will jump. Some of them do it because they can and others to escape harassment. If we keep fish, we should also keep tank covers.

As with many reef tank owners I do not cover my tank. The flame was a healthy active tank member and got along with ll his tank mates.

we all know about garden netting covers... right?

so easy and cheap...BRS sells the netting if you can't find it local.

topless always remains an option but you're taking a risk.

(great. I removed the netting top from my aquarium 2 days ago after running it on my aquarium for 5 years and I see this thread!)

to be honest... I heard a giant splash last night while the house was dark.
With aquarium being recently uncovered I was worried what I might find on the floor this morning!

I have about 4" of freeboard on the back of my canopy. I'm now curious how high they will jump.
